22 MAY - 6 JUNE 2021
Dorset Art Weeks is one of the largest Open Studio Events in the country. DAW is an art trail with routes around Dorset taking you to venues which may be at galleries, church halls or artist homes and studios. At almost all venues the artists, designers or makers will be on-hand to help you engage with the work, keen to talk to you about the extraordinary range of materials, skills and traditions that inform their work. They will be running a slightly different Dorset Art Weeks for 2021! The postponed 2020 event will now be moving to the odd year and they will be creating a fantastic looking Evolver Supplement and Digital App to make the event more flexible and safe for artists and visitors. Evolver magazine supplements will be available at the gallery as well as many other locations around Dorset and neighbouring counties before and during the event.

Purbeck Art Weeks is also an Open Studio Art Trail similar to Dorset Art Weeks. It is limited to Purbeck which helps the visitor focus on a given area with a concentrated number of artists in one geographical location. Additionally there is a central hub at Rollington Barn, Rempstone, near Corfe Castle. There are samples from all the open studios here and refreshments. It's a great place to start the trail. PAW also prides itself on having events in the form of musical performances and talks at different locations in Purbeck. Young artists at various schools in Purbeck are encouraged to enter a competition, the displays being at Rollington Barn. Brochures (containing the trail route, information about the venues, Rollington Barn and events) are distributed around Dorset as well as being available at each location.
