Gallery 1
The gallery is responding to the Art Weeks by focusing on eight of our regular artists in Gallery 1 and emerging young artists in Gallery 2.
The artists in Gallery 1 are:
Gina Marshall Gina paints and draws in colourful inks using strong lines and repetition.
Nicky Stockley Nicky creates gouache paintings and textile designs incorporating nature.
Gill Williams Gill uses watercolour and pen, featuring murmurations and rock formations.
Eleanor Spalding Eleanor works in oils and pastels often using white space to create explosion effects.
Laurie King Laurie’s work has a strong cycling focus using gouache, ink and digital illustration.
Lucy Field Lucy makes mixed media linocut prints focusing on pattern and texture.
Briony Maple Briony works in fused glass with themes of coastal views and water.
Diana Girdwood Diana sculpts papier mache and plaster seabirds with personality.
The theme of the exhibition for the Art Weeks is Purbeck landscapes and seascapes interpreted through different styles and mediums. Our artists have been working hard on new collections during the lockdown which will be revealed at the start of the Art Weeks. It's an opportunity to get first pick of a wide range of new work.
The slideshow below showcases eight statement pieces that will be shown on the website and app.
